Today I create an event dated in the future. Sign it and everything.
You save the event and rebroadcast or reveal it somehow in the future. Before or after the actual date in the event.
How do you prove I created it today?
I can't. But nobody do that. If I see a message on nostr it will be before now. So in your event data the date is in the past and then we both agree that you say that at least on this date.
You should study open time stamps and how merkle trees work. You can prove data existed at a point in time (a block) using Merkle tree inclusion proofs

Your way doesn't work. You can't prove the event of mine was created at any point in the past. You could modify your filesystem to spoof things with no way to validate. By anchoring to bitcoin you have an immuteable record of a hash. That hash is the merkle root, meaning anything rolled (merkle inclusion) up into the root can be proved to exist when the block was made.
The creation date doesn't matter. On nostr you write an event and you set a date for this event. Now someone can copy the data of this event to prove that what you said in this event is false.
So if you see an event saying Bitcoin will never be bellow 80k ever again, you know that this person missed his prediction because if you see the event the date is obviously in the past. Then you can copy the event data to remind him that he was wrong.
