one of the worst things about uni, is that you don't want to leave

the amount of constant intellectual challenges, feeling dumb and failing forward is really addictive

a high-level work environment will evoke a similar feeling

that's the goal đź’ś

not always the case, unfortunately

>_<

Is good, but the biggest disconnect from university to reality is how to deal with people challenges in real life. No better read than Dale Carnegies how to win friends and influence people. This is a bible for human OS. Order 2 copies and read once a year.

think i have that one at home in my native language actually

from memory, a lot of it seemed tacky, but maybe i was just young and foolish

It’s an older book, written in 1920s or so. Filled with basic wisdom for people skills. Fundamentals that matter and apply to this day.

yeah will grab it with me when i get home

you're somebody that reads a lot, any recommendations of books about successful people's mindset, approach and inner monologue?

looking to reprogram myself a tad bit, especially as you spoke about the human os

I noted of a few of my personal recommendations from my own experience. These have been helpful to me. Another one that is simple, although his books are super dense AF is David Foster Wallace. I revisit this one often as well. https://youtu.be/eC7xzavzEKY?si=CvgZU-xPgxY87PI4

man you're so resourceful

thank you so so much, i feel like i'm getting mentored, and i'm enjoying every bit of it

Tanel, I’ve known you indirectly for a few years now. I’m an old by the standards and it’s my duty to help. In many ways I’m just sharing what I’ve found value in and learned along the way. Anytime my friend, anytime.

will make sure to pay it forward brother đź’ś

This is all that matter

Seth, great teacher 🤝

Skimmed through this volume series at the bookstore. Very well written, highly recommend. Wide scope with near term applicability.

Also, read the OGs.

Picked this one up most recently. Heraclitus - Fragments

y'all are the best

đź’ś hugs to you both

đź«‚ want you flourishing

my 2025 arc

attention of mind is all that we have, they say, and wisdom is where to put it

and yeah, i definitely agree

university just can't give you that same lesson about people when power and money come into the picture

After Dale Carnegie, Read Robert Chaldini’s “Influence”. Another fundamental human OS gem. If you can handle that then get into Danny Kahnemans “Thinking Fast and Slow”. This one is dense AF but a deeper layer of fundamental Human OS. These are 💯 must reads imo for understanding of psychology if that is something you’re interested in
