Little goldmine there.
I’ve grown chestnut mushrooms a few times which are the same genus and also pretty slimy, but they taste super good.
Yeah I saw that, you add em to soups? Not sure how the gelatinous caps are gonna be palatable

Nameko is supposed to have fairly slimey caps. I have a culture of them that I tried to grow, but I didn’t have the ability to make it cold enough to trigger fruiting.

I live in Japan, they are often eaten in miso soup! They are a bit slimy, as you say, but the taste is mild. My daughter won't eat shiitake mushrooms, but she likes these
