fk yeah!

Blue jeans

You didn’t have any?

Of course I did but only one pair and I was only allowed to wear them to school. If I had worn them outside to play in and messed them up it would’ve been bad.

Be myself

Don't get brainwashed

Nice one

Air conditioning in cars.

Didn’t like the wind in your face? πŸ˜‚

Didn't like the vinyl seats sticking to my legs.

Yeah, jorts do that to ya

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Having a trampoline

Yeah my neighbours had one and we never did!

I thought it was the most expensive thing in the world when I was kid. I was one of the few kids in school to have one. Lol

Trust fund kid πŸ˜‚

A nice car stereo was living large

With the sound turned up

Cranking it so everyone can hear

Toblerone Chocolate. Thought only the rich bought it.

Big Screen TV

Boxes of fruit gushers in the pantry

Christmas presents that weren't from the $2 shop. Meanwhile my friends got pools and play stations. I guess there's a reason I'm a grinch πŸ˜…

Also new clothes. We would go to the op shop and dad would find items with little holes or stains and bargain them down further. I spent my whole first pay check on a pair of new jeans and thought I was living the dream with my $9/hour πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Bet they felt so and you wore them everywhere!

Yup.

This beautiful Thing πŸ’œπŸ«‚

Oh yes πŸ‘

do you still remember the time? you could only fast forward πŸ”΄β–ΆοΈβοΈ

Ice maker. Only rich people had ice makers, we had just the trays.

Chocolate milk that came in a gallon already mixed. Who the fuck has that kinda money???

Air conditioning

Hersheys chocolate bars in the fridge. Some neighbors kids had them, and I was always in awe that they were in the fridge and nobody ate them immediately. My parents would never splurge on that luxury.

Growing up, going out to Pizza Hut, getting a giant plastic pitcher of Coke and playing the arcade cabinet in the corner while waiting for it all to come to our table on a Friday night with the fam felt like a fine dining experience.

Being able to take my Honor roll report card to Pizza Hut and getting the free personal pan pizza was πŸ”₯

Truly. Home run.

Wow we never had that in Oz

Always-on electricity and water.

This is still a luxury in more parts of the world than I can count.

Travel 🐢🐾🫑
