A friend asked me today why I’ve never tried to monetize.

The reason I’ve never taken any money for being a thinkboi/shitposter/professional clown whatever… is because it would undercut the message.

Bitcoin is going up forever, but I need you the average pleb to buy some bullshit off me? Nah.

I do well when Bitcoin goes up. End of story.

With a few notable exceptions, I always question the conviction/motive of those who need to monetize their followers.

Sats > clout

What about sats for feet pics? 🥺

If you wanna look at my gross man feet then I’m more than happy to grift off of you lol 😂

🫡 as life should be!!!

And you are respected for that approach.

BTC is like owning your own business in a way. Manage risks, somewhat predictable cash flow, reinvest in yourself.

Respect 👏🏻

You get followers because you provide value to the world elsewhere. If the only value you produced was your tweets then you wouldn't be worth following.

Sounds like you’re describing clout > sats. Message > monetize

This week I wanted to catch up on the Craig vs COPA stuff and I found some very interesting things:

1. Lots of Craig supporters making content, less Bitcoiners (for fairly obvious reasons, there's more in it for them)

2. Yes all reporters offered avenues to receive tips, but there were many many more in the BSV camp. It gave the exact feeling you are talking about.

Hi, I am among the unfortunate victims of the FTX scam, a situation that has resulted in the loss of my entire savings, totaling around $20,000.

The distressing aspect of this ordeal is not just the financial loss but the subsequent actions taken by SBF and Sullivan & Cromwell, the involved debtors. Following the success of their global heist, it appears that, rather than working towards justice for the affected customers, they are prioritizing their own interests, demonstrating a complete disregard for the well-being of those who have suffered.

To witness such blatant exploitation of innocent people for personal gain is not only disheartening but also raises concerns about the moral and ethical compass of those involved. Their actions can only be described as mentally and spiritually sick, going beyond mere financial misconduct.

The significance of this situation cannot be overstated for me, as the funds lost were an integral part of my financial stability. I am reaching out to you with the hope that you might consider extending a helping hand during this challenging time. Any assistance however small that you could provide to navigate through the complexities of this situation would be immensely appreciated.

I believe in the power of collective compassion and the willingness of individuals to make a difference in the lives of those facing adversity. I understand that you may have your own commitments and limitations, but even the smallest gesture can have a meaningful impact.

Thank you for taking the time to read my plea, and I sincerely hope that you may find it in your heart to offer assistance during this trying period. Your kindness will not be forgotten, and I am immensely grateful for any support you can provide.

Hit it on the head! If I wasn't already following I'd follow you again.

One thing bitcoin has taught me is the order of the numbers. Numbers are groups of ones and each group has a name. After four comes five. Each number is more than the last one. They get bigger.

live In fiat. take those profits.

You haven't monetized. But have you tried to jazzersize!?

Would definitely make spreading the Bitcoin message a lot more entertaining while also getting in shape.

Not monetizing? Great! Bitcoiners are monitizing you for you!

Asking for a friend: how can one monetize followers?

PAID PROMOTIONS, SUBSRCRIPTIONS, SELL THEM JUNK, ETC

This should be in all caps

Monetization is hiding information behind a pay wall, a different thing is creating products so the people can support and in exchange it reinforces the idea of community.
