I have a complex relationship with Born Slippy
I think it's my favourite song ever, tied with another track from the Trainspotting soundtrack, Bedrock's For What You Dream Of
But I feel too emotional listening to it and therefore I skip it any time my music player plays it. I think it triggers some extreme nostalgic feeling. I want to hear it in a nightclub with others, it doesn't feel right listening alone
They where my first techno album. Found them randomly as a kid when digging in the local cd store. Bought the album because I liked the art.
The 90s were a peak period for electronic music and Underworld were definitely a big part of it, I love them too! Super talented and with hard skills, like in this LIVE radio performance of (maybe?) their best track https://youtu.be/hl8rmcISbcQ where something tech went wrong at 4.27 but they didn’t panicked and the show went on like nothing happened… goosebumps!
