We have a little rain in the forecast, and I'm hoping we get some. The only mushrooms I've found this year have been old and dried out, hardly worth harvesting.

Until then, here's some morels I found last year. With some bonus Swiss Army Knife content.

Awesome, I eat a lot of wild harvested and foraged plants, in my own yard and out and about. But I've never been ballsy enough for mushrooms, good on you for taking the plunge.

Morels are a big deal in my family. We grew up hunting and eating them, but I don't really mess with any other type of mushroom.

Cool, probably time I identify at least one local type well and have a go. Another local TSP listener offered to take me out and show me, I'll have to take him up on the offer.

Wish we had morels! We have a mushroom on our property that is supposedly edible once cooked but I'm not brave enough to try without having someone who has done there to help me.

We went looking yesterday and only found already found morels. We have some from earlier but will keep hunting. My favorite though are puffballs!

I haven't had a Morel in years. I used to go "mushroom hunting" about this time of year growing up in Illinois. Unfortunately they don't grow wild in Southern Mississippi, but Chanterelle season is coming up.
