I've always found the cork footbed to collect odor after a year or two.
Also not a fan of footbeds with that much support / curvature.
They are the original wide toe box tho.

I grew up that way but my wife, being from Japan, has since enlightened me.
Can go back now.
I understand that, I also grew up with this policy and take my shoes off almost immediately. It feels right 😅
Inside stays nicer for everyone.
I think the big reasons much of Americans in the countryside still wear their outdoor shoes inside is (A) dog culture, (B) hard to convince your elders of previous generations, and (C) haven't really considered any other reality.
Mainly because policies are those things you have to write down and follow verbatim at work 😂
At home, I mostly wear slippers around the house, but am not strict about it.
At home always barefoot
I run a family household and have cats, so even tho we don't allow outside shoes in, the floors still get dirty.
If I'm gonna wear slippers inside, let it be these barefoot, grounded, zero drop, all natural, wide toe box slippers.
