Yes? What about it?

Was told to look into it

Nice, from a brother or for conspiracy?

Does that change what information I'll find?

Confirmation bias is a motherfucker but information no, opinions yes. I can say with 100% uncertainty that there may be some lodge of powerful brethren in some distant corner of the world but my lodge i cant convince 20 men to agree to spend $200 for an AC repair.

Simplex?

Nah. I'm good on nostr for now.

Well ask the questions you have and ill answer what i can.

Just gauging people's opinions of the topic. I don't plan on joining a lodge, bitcoin is enough of a lodge for me. But local politics has brought it to my attention so I wanted to solicit the hive mind of nostr.

Right on. I look forward to seeing the conspiracies in the comments. Idk why it came up in local politics since its an apolitical fraternity but each state in the US has its own grand lodge so rules and whats acceptable may vary

But as the only npud im aware of that has admitted to being a mason im happy to answer any questions you have that i can.

I come from a family of masons.

My grandfathers were both masons and one of them was a property lawyer for them.

My father was a mason.

I know a thing or two.

I have a collection of Masonic books, rings and other things.

Cool, if you dont mind me asking what stopped you from putting a petition in? Or is that a future plan?

Just not my cup of tea while traveling

What's your vibe on the while thing? Good, bad?

I have had nothing but positive experiences with every member I’ve ever met.

I know several master mason and have frens that are shriners

🤝

Grandfather was a high level mason. Just cost him a lot of money to move up levels. Not religious, a community leader, or very smart. Died of alcoholism.

Some lodges have higher dues but nothing to make a man broke. You get out of it what you put in.

Sorry for your loss. Alcoholism deaths are a slow suicide.

Imagine a pyramid scheme with hats and robes to cover their dicks

I will say my dick does look quite dashy when i wear a derby on it.

Demonic influenced Globalist Organization.

Harbinger of the Antichrist.

Go on...

I’ll let the words of Fr. Spryidon Bailey do the talking, from his book “Orthodoxy and the Kingdom Of Satan”

Be a man

Be freeborn

Believe in immortality of the soul

Belief in an immortal supreme architect of the universe

Where did you get demonic influence?

Who would they describe as the Supreme Architect of the architect?

*supreme architect of the universe

Freemasonry does not require any specific faith. Christians, muslims, jews, hindus and many other faiths meet that requirement. It is not for the fraternity to mandate a man's faith only that he has it. The spiritual journey to the next life is each mans to walk.

Some jurisdictions have changed this (The Grand Orient of France) to allow atheists and satanists by being technical and deciding to open membership. This has caused them to be deemed irregular and non masons by UGLE and other Grand Lodges.

Which is where I got the demonic influence. Highlighted here:

Requiring a faith in the divine does not mean they are equal worth. That argument could be made by any religion that they are the right choice. Instead we have acknowledged that our faith my differ we as individuals are still equal. Freemasonry is not a religion, there is no worship to any specific deity in our meetings. If your faith keeps you from lodge then that is ok.

I do owe a disclaimer, any requirements i speak are for the jurisdiction i am a member in.

The Swedish Rite branch Freemasonry does require a Christian faith. This is a body that is prevalent in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Iceland. I am not a christian and cannot sit in lodge with them nor would they have allowed me to be made a mason.

nostr:npub14d488egl5he3r4qy89psn23kz9sql5va8ec39rs7ltcas8ymr76sgk6evk i would like to thank you because this was an enjoyable conversation and from my viewpoint you asked fair questions from your perspective. In the past many find a negative view about the fraternity and then shutdown with no opportunity for discourse. I have no idea if i have changed your mind but im glad youre here on nostr where we can freely speak.

Apologies nostr:npub1dcgf3sswtpvxdwy63e9322u8gfpa93fy4p247ehxu5lk8e0u7unqenr829 I wasn’t able to follow up yesterday.

I had the same thought, appreciate the conversation without getting hostile.

May you and family stay safe out there.

You should check out Brother Richard Kipling's poem The Mother Lodge. His membership inspired many themes in some of his works
