What can you expect?
- holding bitcoin is using bitcoin
- good money can be saved or spent without permission, bitcoin serves both use cases well
- bitcoin is incredibly difficult to change, fundamental to its value, feature not a bug
- I like holding my sats for the value they obtain (accrue)
- I also love spending my sats for products and services providers offer in exchange for them
- I don't like to sell my sats for fiat, that's why I don't do it
Using it helps you get more comfortable with it also

Spoke to my economics lecturer the other night about enrolling in blockchain the new economy subject. I told him I want to be ready on the pos side of things for when it is used. Wanted to gage from him if my quantitative skills are good enough to do it. He was all for it, especially as he felt the innovation aspect was invaluable. But then the next day, the subject was cancelled for rest of year. Will try to enrol next year.
It's not useful to Casey as a store of value. But it's useful to other people that way. And different people will use it in different ways that cannot be predicted, surveyed or calculated.
James thinks fork choice is captured. I don't know where he got that assumption from. He's also assuming that holders determine fork choice. Rather, it's the economic majority that decides it. Meaning, the ones who transact and pay miner fees. More people using bitcoin through their own nodes is the solution to make Bitcoin more resilient.
Bitcoin has PMF for holding with a 3rd party custodian. Bitcoin can't be used otherwise without lots of education to users.
