Back in running and learning to really listen to my body. Slowing down is hard… but maybe that’s where the progress starts 😌 #vlog

Have you thought about joining #runstr? I'm in the same recovery boat with you! Listen for the whimpers before you hear screams!
I tried runstr too (but for hiking). However it has no background notification so it randomly stops quite often. I'll give it another go once updated.
I had a problem with it doing that at first and it is still has quite a few bugs, but they update it pretty frequently. I went in and removed battery optimization, gave all permissions and haven't had that problem since. Maybe a long hike might kick it off though, my runs are usually in the 45 - 1 hour range.
No I haven’t actually. I really try to be completely offline and not track any of my runs as I get too competitive with myself. There were a time I could run a 10k in a specific pace just by listening to my body 🫣
That's probably best! Especially running in places as beautiful as that! Tech is just a distraction. I just like pushing the "other stuff" feature of nostr 😉
Balance is always difficult to find
Keep up the runstr. Nice countryside views.
Maybe trade a day of running for some resistance training if you don't do it yet. It improves on all the parts that get little workout and may improve running.
That‘s a good idea thank you. I need a proper recovery plan which suits my body and health. But the amount of stupid and shit doctors out there is awful
Tell me about it 😂
I have been struggling with stiffness throughout most of my back and i visited several doctors and therapists until i finally figured out that the problem is not in my back or shoulders at all, but they get wrecked from compensating my immobile hips and a few issues with my feet and ankles.
At least i now have something to focus on and finally notice skme improvements.
Been told so many times. Well if you did X and Y then that js all you can do and you will have to live with the fact that this is as good as it will ever be. Not something you want to hear from professionals.
after running, i had to move onto my touring bike, but I had to find a way to get my beats per minute up above 150 for 25ish minutes a few times a week. bonus, now i just ride everywhere.
