Well, Cory's primary aim has been to actually build an "empire". That isn't possible when the initial business plan was to act solely as a Bitcoin conduit. There's no scalability. Cory wants his cake (Bitcoin only) and eat it doo (pivot elsewhere). It's like the old Google which once said "Don't Be Evil". Works when you're starting out, but apparently evil was required to scale and grow.

Believe that we've seen this movie a great number of times over the past several cycles.
