It is mad right? Some people just don’t seem to want to see the benefits. Understandable really though, when you think how much the current system of slow erosion just grinds people down til they cannot be bothered to consider another way…

People just want a regular sucky job and barely make the money they need to get through the month. Because it's the way they have been told. Because it just...can't...be...this...easy....as...you...say...

It's this cognitive dissonance and bias to whatever they heard/learned/familiarized with first.

Same ish - made a full on plea to all my buds and told them it was a fire sale at 16,000 ....... radio silence - ah breaks my heart....

Same here. Between 2017 and 2020, I offered many of my friends 50€ btc in a wallet on their phone. To many of them I packaged that with the Little Bitcoin Book or the Bitcoin Standard.

Of all these people, 20% still has their seed phrase and can access their corn, 5% read the book (literally takes 1 hour) and 3% have bought more and kind of learned a bit but couldn’t explain bitcoin ELI5.

Say what you want, unless you live in a country with high inflation or you’re paranoid about an overreaching state, it’s hard to get people hooked by anything else than speculation.

They are instructed by their masters: markets, politicians, news, Netflix series.

They live in a world full of lies and illusions, unable to cope with reality, unwilling to gain a deep understanding of their environment, fearful of the consequences.

But we have the internet and a family of like-minded curious minds

Similar story. I had a few friends that allocated a few hundred bucks or a couple thousand. Nobody put in significant amounts. BUT, it’s in the back of their brain.
