I want to do more carefully crafted poems but until I figure out how long I should do #poemaday I’m not sure how to transition. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Ya I have it in me in that regard but I was hoping it might turn into a thing if I can keep it going and get other people exercising their creativity.
I think it did. #poemstr could really take off.
You have a firm grasp on the English language. Why not write a book? You remind me a bit of Twain with your wit. And being serious. 🫂
My resume lacks both steamboatery and mustachery. But like I said to nostr:npub10mtatsat7ph6rsq0w8u8npt8d86x4jfr2nqjnvld2439q6f8ugqq0x27hf I’d like to try to get more NOSTR participation in the poem a day concept. Just to see what peoples creativity can produce but there’s an unknown timeline on it. I’d like to spend more time on each poem. I tend to write them in about 15-30 minutes and I’d like to see what I could do if I had more time. But thank you that’s a high undeserved complement.
Well,.. then I say,... Go for it. Do what you're passionate about. Make it happen.

It's up to you to determine who you are. " Just saying.... Your linguistic talent is bad ass. 🤷🫡🤙
I appreciate that, but more importantly: I washed my balls with something your hands touched today and so we're brothers now.
A change for rhyme desired
The mind will simply continue
Till imagination is fired
And life has had its due
What if you invite people to write daily, proposing themes, making suggestions, and, at the same time, work on your poems more carefully? and you can also write #poemaday , but without feeling pressured to, inspiring people in other ways.
Do #weeklypoem instead?
It might get there soon but it’s so fun regardless. I just want to grow.
sharing other poems most days which will give you some needed time to craft one a week. when I wrote some, they would go through iterations of self critiquing and then public critique (through our online group). I would get inspiration from other sources and have the time to produce one on a weekly or biweekly occasion. good times.
With a few exception I never wrote poetry before this project so I don't really have a group or anyone to reflect on my words I just squirt it out. It'd be cool to have a group to exchange thoughts on poetry, but I'm not sure if I understand group writing poetry yet. I have to think about that.
well, in any case, I have a book for you whenever we eventually meet up. Ted Kooser's Poetry Repair Manual was a turning point for me.
I like the idea of linguistic maintenance
I think judging poetry is a waste of time as most of it is completely subjective, however, he does have points on how to express a point effectively, and formatting help that enhances. it helps me take a concept and whittle it down to a few lines. no pomp or pretentious crap, just simple words that capture an emotion like a picture that you can revisit years from now and pull the same feels back out
I’m all for it brother. Maybe we can think it through together
