I think what many still don't understand (precisely the same people who didn't and don't understand that Samourai technically was anything but private) that a blockchain will always be less private than a layer two solution that is not a blockchain like Lightning given that Lightning doesn't need to be auditable. Monero still needs to be auditable despite hidden inflation issues.
This is the magic of a true layer 2 solution, you delegate auditability to layer 1.
Curious that Samourai developers underestimated Lightning, just for the privacy properties it has and allows it deserves to be developed in spite of its complexity.
Summary for dummies, Lightning is more private than any privacy coin.
