Sometimes when I’m on a flight taking off from a major city I look out at all the infrastructure and think, how the hell is all of this….GLOBALLY….going to be divided by 21 million. It’s totally surreal!

I think there’s a misconception here. Not everything will have to be divided by 21 million, even when we reach hyperbitcoinization. Everything will have a price in Bitcoin, but that doesn’t mean that the total value of everything will have to sum to 21M Bitcoin.

Last time I checked , each sat was divisible (internally within Lightning) to 3 decimal places. I'm thinking one day maybe our Lightning wallets go out to 8 places within the sat, much like Bitcoin L1 wallets go out to 8 places to get us to 100 million sats. Do we go that far?
Yes we can already divide a sat into 1000 pieces on lightning. As time goes on we'll use smaller amounts to pay for the same stuff.
