This topic is always brought up without talking of the amount. It always depends on the amount.

The argentine peso is absolute horseshit by any measure, continually being rugged. But I always hold some. Why? it's very convenient in my day to day. HOW MUCH i hold is the important question.

The whole point of bitcoin is to eliminate third parties and being able to self custody so you will not end up holding bags of IOU

I’ve always approached it as play around with what you’re comfortable losing. I have no problem using lightning and cashu etc but it’s my responsibility to only play with what I’m willing to lose
