I'm mostly just very confused around men, which is disappointing because I don't particularly want to be single 😅 I think a lot of people are having a similar issue though, both men and women.

There is a lot of data that shows it has never been a more difficult time to find a partner to start a family with than right now. Social media and dating apps have distorted what kind of relationships are actually possible.
And what makes me most angry is I think a lot of the discord in our society now is purposely done and benefits some.
Influencers are definitely rage baiting people to blame the opposite gender for being single. I hear a lot of complaining and see a lot of memes about men acting feminine while also seeing complaints about women expecting too much from men. The truth is that everyone is asking a lot more from their partner than any other time in history. It’s just not realistic for everyone to find everything they’re looking for.
Porn has a lot to answer for....
Also tech in general. The amount of youngsters now that cannot even look at you when talking is astounding. It is like social skills are completely lost sometimes.
We have never been so connected, yet so distant from each other.
Porn for men and social media for women have distorted the kinds of relationships they expect/want.
Probably overlap in there if I really try to be accurate.
Certainly downsides to each affect men an women predominantly as you say.
For example, plenty of men have zero social skills because they spend too much time talking as we are here.
Don’t tell me what you don’t want in men or in women. Tell me what you do want in a human being.
Putting aside the fact I didn't say what I don't wan't per se, it was an observation, if I had to consolidate it all down into a simple concept, it would be for people to be connected on a deeper level, not less.
Most interactions today are superficial, and more interactions of a superficial level do not make up for deeper understanding.
It's not just the lack of social maturity (which has become more prevelant) that is concerning, it's their lack of self-esteem and confidence. Social media reliance needs to die out eventually. It only exacerbates all the issues that the internet has produced.
I'm not sure it will. People use it as a crutch so they never have to engage with others IRL.
The constant stream of Insta posts makes people feel shit too I think. Like everyone else living their best life except 'you' lol.
It's all so fake though. I was in Rhodes last month. A never ending row of women walk down to the beach to pose, with a bloke in tow taking their picture. Then they walk off again. Just all for show.
It depresses me lmao
