Dumb or not knowledgeable on the subject? I feel like back in the day it was easier to sound intelligent. You could read a thing, or look it up and you'd have some interesting facts that others may not know, which could make you sound intelligent. But now, anyone can access any information and fact-check any dumbass comment. It's really difficult for me to say anything with certainty anymore because there's a good chance I could be wrong and anyone can confirm for themselves.
On the other half of the scale, hardly anyone reads, so you can still look clever with little effort. Arguably easier.
Anyone could have access the same information, but hardly anyone actually does access it. And you still have the advantage of being able to understand what you read.

It's not really a true quotient, anymore, but it has a similar effect.
Human traits like height, beauty, intelligence, etc. tend to follow a normal distribution within a large population. We can generally expect the average and the median to be the same.
The median woman will tend to be average height, weight, looks, smarts, number of sexual partners, blood pressure rate, etc.

That's the wrong way to think about people (and maybe a bit arrogant Hodl). Just because a person has a low IQ doesn't mean they aren't good people though. There's a LOT of very intelligent people in this world who are dangerous to large populations, such as many politicians. I care less about somebody's IQ most of the time and more about their character.
Of course intelligence doesn’t equate to being a good person. But from a wholistic perspective you’d generally want to be in a population with more intelligent people per capita. Despite some downsides, Intelligence is a highly desirable trait that is essential to improvements in quality of life for all. We want our leaders to be both morally forthright and highly intelligent. We shouldn’t settle for less.
With our leaders we certainly seem to settle for a lot less but yeah I agree with what you are saying.

IQ is just another measurement tool that doesn’t matter because most individuals allow fear and their ego to determine their actions. And it doesn’t matter how high your IQ is if you don’t do the work and ask the hard questions like What is money? What is their agenda/incentive? What is my agenda/incentive? Is this real? Does this make sense? Am I wrong? What can I do better?

HODL is correct, most people are stupid. Covid proved it. The huge mask and jab compliance was shocking. There is no way to deny or nuance this. Intelligence, irrespective of the actual IQ number, should kick in when things feel wrong and the going gets tough. So many proved incapable of this and literally disconnected their neocortex. How I miss 2019 when you could fantasize about IQs of strangers. Not anymore.
Doesn't matter if they are stupid. Only matters that an individual is programmable. IQ may modulate range or types of programming (eg. hands on vs theoretical)
Doesn't matter how smart you are. machine wants reliable cogs. If you are brilliant but run society code in a non standard way, you will be considered broken by some and a nuisance by many.
