Having preferences is not the same as having demands. I also prefer people that leave the prosecuting country or halt updates altogether.

I respect the WoS team a lot more for pulling out of the US. Seems like they wanted to avoid this.

Ecash can help somewhat in this regard. Self-custody is the way, though.
