Yeah, something like this or like wikihow, some bullet points. Maybe with links to more advanced info if needed. Just to get someone up and running as quickly as possible (within reason).
Some of the guides are a bit like a huge verbose ebook lol.
Maybe this is the best one I've seen with its drop-down options. Maybe a very Quick Start for noobs and an Advanced Start walkthrough would be good. Maybe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Jack is somewhat a controversial figure lol, might put people off. But also I was thinking more a short walkthrough guide to jumping in and exploring.
Some bullet points someone can easily follow, maybe a quick version to have a look around with advanced options for people who want more info.

I also appreciate that there is a lot to say about nostr, there's a bit of a balance between infodumping and getting someone to jump in and explore.

i was skeptical about guides all seeming to recommend snort/iris, in my experience it barely works, but just had a look now and it seems to be fine:)
Maybe ditto could be thrown into guides when it's been tried and tested a bit more. That seems like a good client to throw at a noob
Also having more a look through, guides may need updating, this one still lists nostrgram, which now defunct. Not sure who to tag to edit this page tho 🤔
💯 i believe nostr resources is gigi's ... if i remember correctly, he was looking for someone to maintain it many months ago. Not sure what happened with that or if I'm even remembering things correctly 😅
Things change so quickly here, I can imagine it's a bit of a pain. It could at least link to a maintained site like nostrapps.com with the 'many other clients' link
