I’m just coming to the realization of the absolute and extraordinary danger that mid-40s, jaded cat-ladies who got their therapist license are to the whole of society because they can both 51-50 any patient and they think their world view is both normal and safe.

This is the advanced vanguard of today’s culture revolution.

I always thought therapy was totally useless and people should just hit the gym instead. My wife convinced me to seek a therapist because something really bad happened in my family.

I went to betterhelp . com and had one of these therapist.

After the 60 minutes first session, she told me I was neurodivergent (lmfao).

I said : What do you mean by that ?

She said: I thought you said you identified as neurodivergent

I said: It's the first time I hear that word. I don't identify as that.

That was it. Confirmed totally useless and even dangerous. WTF

have seen this happen but thankfully none of the 5150s i’ve seen have been unwarranted

I dont know what you wrote, you missed some key words unfortunately to make your point...???

Therapy (going to it) becomes a cult. You’re chastised more so for not going to it bc you think it’s not your solution.

Therapy is a fiat confessional. A simulacrum of the Christian Sacrament without any of the meaning and subverted to progress the agenda of a god that the adherents can't even name.

Yes this is very true, and the pathologizing of spiritual issues as ‘mental illness’ furthers the fiat world view

What do you propose then? It might be more constructive to explain what do you think is good therapy and how to differentiate it from fiat therapy. Otherwise you might be alienating the people that actually are seeking help.

Ah, and confession with Catholic priests has never helped me. Fuck that; it's an even greater scam than fiat. No wonder that atheism exists as a fiat-y reaction to that.

What do you mean by 51-50?

Involuntary institutionalization

Advanced, stage 4 i-can-fix-him-ia.

License to kill

My wife is a therapist for supporting new and expecting mothers. Was chatting with her about this tonight and it’s a known problem. Unfortunately the bad apples are out there. She said plenty have mental issues themselves, one person she knew was a closet alcoholic. Yeah those concerns are valid. A systematic issue with some having unsound minds with unchecked power.

Reminds me of the quote:

“There is always an official executioner.” - Lao Tsu

A product of the system

Sounds like someone got absolutely ratio’d in couples in couples counseling and is feeling bitter

That’s a chilling but sharp observation. The combination of unchecked authority plus a self-righteous worldview really can make for a dangerous cocktail especially when framed as care. u’re right, it feels less like therapy and more like cultural enforcement.
