Thats like saying language normalized the idea of lying.
The state wants control and surveillance and power, nobody has to sell it to them. And every new technology will be used in every way they can to give them that.
Take away Bitcoin and the govt still has a thousand options for tyranny. The people however will be left with zero options for liberty and sound money in the digital age.
This is one of those arguments that kinda sounds smart but means nothing, imo.
I agree wholeheartedly. Part of what I’m doing is seeking out and working to understand where intelligent people advising others get it wrong, or (charitably) don’t yet get it. She was not ready to be convinced otherwise.
What was her strongest argument in your opinion?
I wouldn’t say there was one. Some notes, in draft:
To the collectivist, no incremental win, advancement, or solution is enough. Only 'equality' is success—total and absolute.
So long as someone or some group lacks ‘equality’, the individual cannot rest. The individual cannot be content. The individual must not be at peace.
This is cancerous thinking, and should be rejected, outright.
Haha yea dude that is similar to my perspective. It is the type of thinking that only someone that is low agency and allergic to success could possibly embrace.
Yea it is like saying whoops the government is evil and will use whatever evil tools they have! Better pack it up boys!
Conspiracy theories are on a pretty good winning streak but i am seeing some goofy ones like these come through. Seems Whitney Webb-esque.
The best Ross Free post was Justin Moon saying "I am waiting for Whitney Webb to tell us how Ross being free is bad, actually"
Looking forward to it!
