It's hard to live with? How so? Is calyx os better?

Keyboard bad, camera bad, NFC bad

I use stock android now I couldn't handle it for more than 3 months

There is a FOSS keyboard, FUTO, you might want to give it a try. It offers "swiping" if you, like me, hate typing...

I personally use Google keyboard without network permissions.

Is it possible to turn the swiping off? Does it have emojis and text replacement?

Here's a screenshot of the options menu and while typing. Not quite sure what you mean with text replacement...

Text replacement is a functionality where you can set shortcuts for strings of text. For example I could havre it that when I type omw, the keyboard replaces it by "on my way" or if I type zpepe it could replace it with a tenor link to a pepe gif

No, I can't find that in the options...

Oh. I think I misunderstood your question. I didn't know that was a thing. 👀

I use this on the stock ios keyboard all the time for links to gifs

I've been using HeliBoard.

https://github.com/Helium314/HeliBoard

Does it have text replacement and emojis?

Yes. Just no swipey.

It also supports multiple languages, which I need.

I'll give it a try. Thanks

Try FUTO keyboard 🤙

I use Gboard but just deny all permissions (including network connectivity) except sensors. That's the beauty of GrapheneOS. You can deny and sandbox apps to such a granular level. I do the same with Google Photos & Camera. Allow sandboxed Play Services but disable Google Play itself.

What’s gboard? The stock google keyboard?

And to deny permissions you go into app info right?

Gboard is the stock Google keyboard that ships with Pixels. You can find it in Aurora store. When installing, GrapheneOS will ask if you want to grant it network connectivity. Just deny. Alternatively, you can long press the app and open settings. Adjust permissions as follows:

Ah yes thats the menu I was referring to. Thanks

Actually, I just checked, and it does not appear it needs sensors either. Try denying that as well. Keep in mind that sandboxing Gboard in this manner will disallow in-keyboard GIFs & voice input. Emojis & swipe will still work.

What is sensors? Like the fingerprint sensor?

TRY FLORISBOARD OR THUMBKEY

I'll check them out. Thanks!

So far my favourite is florisboard 🚀
