Do you have an opinion on CouchDB?
Discussion
Yes
loved and used it for many years. great little document store. didn’t follow along when they moved to couchbase.
I used it a lot maybe 10 years ago, but it always felt incomplete, and the people that remained to keep care of it after Damien Katz left just wanted to turn it into MongoDB instead of trying to make a new thing that had any appeal.
not sure wat that is. Im assuming a casting couch?
cockroach is the only word in my mind, for some reason.
I like Sofas more...
Sarcasm aside; It's neat. If I remember correctly, it was coming in clutch for NPM for a while as NodeJS gained popularity. It's very long ago by now, but least to say I whitnessed the transistion from the 0.x releases - and NPM had it rough for quite a while. In that time, I suddenly saw an astounding amount of articles and mentions about CouchDB - don't really remember why exactly tho.
Oh, npm used CouchDB? I think I remember something about that.
Usecaseless until you have a team rejecting anything non-js
