Graphene OS, and you donβt need an App Store at all, use βObtainiumβ for updates
GrapheneOS & Accrescent?
Accrescent is one of the best and secure options. Compliments the GrapheneOS setup very well but is one of the smallest app repositories because it's new. Apps the project recommend (which rarely does happen) like Molly appear on there. Strongly recommend this one personally.
I seriously hope the library grows. Other options have shortcomings but unfortunately end up being the only way to get apps.
Yeah I hope more apps make its way on there
Once the open source RISC-V CPU architecture makes high-end mobile hardware attainable at a low cost, the supply of non-Google and non-Apple phones will be substantially increased, and the market for open source mobile OS and app stores, which already exists, will see more development and will become as easy and apparent to access as the corporate players.
No need for RISC-V the ARM licensing is not what drives the cost.
As nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s about his amazing $150 brand name Android phone he's developing Damus on.
ARM licensing is still inflated in price by an artificial monopoly grant, however. Costs will be reduced, and competition will likely drive down the prices for alternative phones. I am not saying that ARM is the only issue, nor am I saying that it is completely impeding freeer phones from entering the market.
We can be certain, if praxeology is a good representation of the dynamics of the market, that there will be a downward pressure on prices and an increase in demand and volume of sales for alternatives coming from the development of RISC-V.
You can have it today. Just buy a Pixel, install GrapheneOS and use it with F-Droid, Aurora or Obtanium.

What does Obtainium do?
An app that aggregates updates for side loaded apks
Hi, I am among the unfortunate victims of the FTX scam, a situation that has resulted in the loss of my entire savings, totaling around $20,000.
The distressing aspect of this ordeal is not just the financial loss but the subsequent actions taken by SBF and Sullivan & Cromwell, the involved debtors. Following the success of their global heist, it appears that, rather than working towards justice for the affected customers, they are prioritizing their own interests, demonstrating a complete disregard for the well-being of those who have suffered.
To witness such blatant exploitation of innocent people for personal gain is not only disheartening but also raises concerns about the moral and ethical compass of those involved. Their actions can only be described as mentally and spiritually sick, going beyond mere financial misconduct.
The significance of this situation cannot be overstated for me, as the funds lost were an integral part of my financial stability. I am reaching out to you with the hope that you might consider extending a helping hand during this challenging time. Any assistance however small that you could provide to navigate through the complexities of this situation would be immensely appreciated.
I believe in the power of collective compassion and the willingness of individuals to make a difference in the lives of those facing adversity. I understand that you may have your own commitments and limitations, but even the smallest gesture can have a meaningful impact.
Thank you for taking the time to read my plea, and I sincerely hope that you may find it in your heart to offer assistance during this trying period. Your kindness will not be forgotten, and I am immensely grateful for any support you can provide.
Please save me.
