Damus will convert it to the standard nostr:npub standard, so you may just be able to paste it in as that. That's what I do when I paste in a ton of npubs to tag in a note.

You can probably disable auto capitalization by going to settings->keyboards->auto capitalization
But then I would lose capitalization the rest of the time. I prefer adding a string of text before the npubs, like Cc:
