Do you know what fiat and fiat-pegged-coins are?

It is #Bitcoin what you are explaining.

They are shitcoins, but a fiat pegged shitcoin moving on top of free & open bitcoin infrastructure is far better than a CBDC that uses govt controlled & censored infrastructure. If poor normies who just want to move dollars (& don't care about Bitcoin) end up dependent on tether moved as a LN token (whether they know it or not), then when they finally become smart enough to understand that they might actually need some Bitcoin, they are only a click away.

CBDC holders will eventually be cut off & will only be able to buy things from politically approved corps.

Bitcoin is likely to still be too volatile & too big a leap for most people before CBDCs are rolled out. Tether is the same sort of shit they are used to on a more open & more efficient network. Prices are like a language, adoption of a new one is slow & difficult. Tether is a mild improvement that may prevent or undermine a dramatic negative shift to CBDCs.

Why do we need "better fiat" while we have the best money, #Bitcoin .

You are making problems which are not actually problems like Bitcoin is too XYZ. No, Bitcoin is not what you are claiming. Your Tether defending words are just marketing.

People are open to #Bitcoin directly.

I have personally been telling people about the best money for 12 years. Most still don't get it. I would rather be surrounded by idiots using tether than idiots using CBDCs.

CBDCs will allow the govt to easily weaponize people against people like me. If you can't understand that then you aren't thinking clearly or realistically enough about the nature of our situation.

I agree with your opinion on CBDC. But the fact that Tether being better than CBDC doesn't make sense to me to be accepted using it instead of Bitcoin. However I deeply understand your long way you did make with Bitcoin. Since that, I do not want to think or conclude that it is impossible to Bitcoin embracing by people. Because I am the poof. And I sure that a lot of peple are like me. That is why I only look and think of Bitcoin, the only way through. Let us not give up hope.

I'm extremely bullish on Bitcoin, I just think it's unfortunately going to be a long game. It is & always will be very easy to exchange tether for BTC. It will not be easy to buy BTC with the CBDC network dollars. There are also lots of people in poorer places, who are on tight day to day budgets, who operate in dollar prices & can't afford a 5 or 10% negative move. Going from 0 to 100% bitcoin is not an option for some people. A way to more efficiently operate in dollars while slowly stacking their way to freedom can be extremely helpful

Anyway, I agree that it will be a long game. That is also why I think the Bitcoin only way will be finally the break through. I personally will focus on educating Bitcoin to people, not any kind of fiat-variation coins. I live in a time-limited time space. So I have to use my life time very efficiently. I don't have any of fractal piece of time to use on fiat(or fiat-pegged).

I have a long term view, but my life is shorter than Bitcoin's life time. I have to focus on Bitcoin with all my effort.

I just also support the creation of better options for people who do refuse to focus on Bitcoin (for whatever reason). There are enough of those people that too much of a "fuck em" attitude is likely to be counter productive.

OK, I get it. But, last thing. There are not "enough" of those 'fuckem' people on the contrary. Instead there are too much grifters and parasites of fiat predators. If you are talking about it in a inner circle of Bitcoin community, then you could be right (partialy). But we are now talking about global adoption. So, no. There should be more and more 'fuck em' Bitcoiners.

I think you misunderstood. Let's be extremely generous & assume 10% of the population is Bitcoin friendly no matter what. There are still not enough hardcore Bitcoiners for us to say "fuck everyone who doesn't get it" without there being a serious chance of 90% of the population turning on us completely. CBDCs allow authoritarians to potentially turn everyone against us with financial rewards & punishments. But if only 10% wind up trapped by CBDCs because 80% started using tether tokens on LN to make micropayments & to connect their siloed services (venmo to cash app, etc) then that's a better future for us & the door to bitcoin adoption remains open for most of the normie 90%.

Sounds exactly like saying you're in favor of slavery because it helps the plantation owners and slaves themselves.

If the slave master is offering chains in exchange for a place inside his house, & someone else is building slave houses on the edge of the plantation with tunnels out, where is the better place for slaves you want to free in the future? I'm not telling anyone not to advocate freedom, I just think it's slso important to help those who still don't want freedom.
