Not an expert but the best advice I have is … don’t try to quit sugar..

You can eliminate everything with added sugar easy enough, and keep foods with natural sugars and then slowly reduce those.

Train your brain by rewarding yourself with savoury or spicy instead of sweet or salty. There is so many options!

If your question is related to a health issue or concern.. get your doctor to refer you to a nutritionist. They have the best answers and strategies. In fact .. everyone should do this whether there is an issue/concern or not!

If I’m out with friends, before I order from the menu I go wash my hands and look in the mirror. The mirror has prevented many dietary slips. That asshole looking back at you will always hold you accountable!

Probably not much help.. but free internet advice 💪🏼 good luck with this journey!

Thanks for the response! Just looking to try it out. To improve my mood. Reduce belly fat. Etc. My biggest vice is Diet Soda. It's hard for me to drink water.

It's easy to cut out desserts and other sweets. It's much harder to find meals that don't have a lot of sugar or carbs and not get bored. For example, I can eat a grilled chicken breast and some broccoli. But I'll get bored of that in a few days. So looking for some variety and ideas.

And to your comment about the mirror... There's no fix for the way I look. 😂 I embraced my ugliness.

Quitting sodas was tough for me too. Ended up getting a SodaStream just so I could cheaply make myself carbonated water. It worked. Carbonated water is much less boring than regular water.

Soda (diet or otherwise) is defi atrly one of the best addictions/habits to break. It is something you must break.

1. Naturally flavoured waters.. I know you don’t like water but you can match the flavours to your mood.. or the mood you want to experience. Just add slices of your favorite fruits, veggies, and herbs — try lemons, oranges, watermelon, cucumber, mint, or limes. If your lazy like me add the flavours to ice cubes so it’s not much work to flavour the waters. You can also use and flat or sparkling waters!

2. Drink black coffee and make time for tea. Create rituals where you have tea time everyday. There are so many options for tea and you can drink it hot or cold.

3. Juices. Be careful about how much you drink tho.. I prefer to eat my fruit and veggies but juices can be a good alternative to replace soda.

Your enemy doesn’t appear to be sugar.. it’s soda. It’s pure crack and it’s engineered to kill.
