Sometimes. Not always.

Absolutely me. Couldn’t care less,I don’t letting you in πŸ™…πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ

It's funny, but they always let me pass πŸ€” probably to see the back of my car πŸ˜‚

Didn't you also see the same open lane space that he did? It's actually most efficient to wait until close to the merge point.

Not in my world

You are a shitty driver then.

Yes I am

Drives me crazy 🀣

Specifically if they fly up past everyone and then try it.

I usually let them in. Not worth the drama. Lots of people here have a pistol in the glove box. Including me. Avoiding drama is the name of the game.

In Germany you have to drive to the front as far as possible and than merge by "zipper method". That's the best way keep traffic flowing. Not letting people in is a offense (theoretically, I don't that this happened ever) and could be fined by the police.

and it's so reasonable. if you don't do this - like op suggests, everybody merges early, totally freeing up the right lane. then the space is either wasted or someone else passes by from the very end eventually.... new picture opportunity for op! :D

Strangely enough, that's not my pet hate. That distinction goes to self-appointed traffic police who pretend to be nice by directing traffic from behind the wheel instead of simply making their own intentions clear. The worst are in BMWs, they zoom up to a situation, barely paying attention, then when they jerk awake and realise what's going on start telling everyone else what to do with annoying bossy little flicks of the index finger, then get pissed when you decide on the balance of issues and your own vantage point not to obey. Tossers.
