If it looks like nostr development is slowing down is because many of us are laying down important groundwork that doesnβt shine.
Discussion
Social is cool, but in the grand scheme of Nostr, it's probably the most boring aspect of Nostr.
Social networking is how we seed the social graph that bleeds value into everything else
See how hard Spotify/Amazon/YouTube/etc tried to get you to replicate your social graph to no avail.
The social graph is very useful but very very hard to replicate outside of social networking
nostr cross pollinates value everywhere
a new nostr app https://freefrom.space/ was just released, heavily marketed to chinese, and they are all like how what can you already have sooo many users? obviously unaware of how nostr works

..yet. They will shine ππ
Pablito con la crypta estamos cada vez en NOSTR, ahora estamos stremeando 24/7 con mΓΊsica en zap.stream y en este momento si entras estamos pasando una pelΓcula. Top gun

Bullshit
Very needed groundwork. One of the first major relays didnβt have the groundwork and just started throwing 500s. But they said theyβd brb.
They pivoted to 402.lol

πππ ok fine, Iβll stop post-rationalizing things and get back to work

Life is about building foundations π«ΆπΌ
I prefer a good architecture to "bells and whistles" now.
Stablizing code, refactoring, making more modular for future paradigms, etc is when coding wisdom comes to play. Please, keep wizarding along.
Keep up the great work!
Peristance Pays! (Prove me wrong!)
Yup
Pretty accurate! It's been more than a month since I'm developing new pinstr from the ground, and I believe it will shine in a week or two ππ€©

DVMs were the first thing I pitched internally (at a data driven consultancy), that was not instantly dismissed by my peers.
Dalvik Virtual Machine for memory, battery life and performance ?
I think it's exploding like always, it's never stopped xD

Investment in my own learning + low time preference. I'm still working working on nostr even if I'm not literally working on nostr π€
