The endless graft, prostitution, and sycophantry found in contemporary social media is so endlessly dark and nihilistic that you would really think it’s just a dark forest out there. A pointless dark world where lies, theft, and guile are the only form of real power. That there is no purpose, reason, or greater meaning to life itself—just a black nothingness.

Truth is there is something much greater to this existence, and that is much more scary than nothing at all. It means we actually have a purpose and reason for existence, and that these projections of darkness are really just a means of manipulating all of us. The media apparatus projects the shadows on the walls and gives microphones to the most callow and anxious to make these shadows real. While they are little more than shadows on the walls, most people will believe it because they too are in bondage, chained before the wall, incapable of turning back to see how the sunlight is manipulated for such dark purposes.

Most people are good and are deeply craving a world of honor, dignity, and reason; they are just incarcerated into a fiat bondage, and conditioned through fear and terror. We have all just been captured by a fiat world view for so long that to reason outside and beyond it without a means to fight it (i.e. bitcoin) is utterly impossible. That is why the understanding of what bitcoin offers in contrast to fiat is so important, as it becomes a way to see through the dark forest and understanding that it is not dark at all, but merely a projection of power, a means of control through presenting only one view. To turn and see how the light is projected to make this dark forest, the shadows on the wall creates a new and different means of power. A power of reason and meaning, where the possible of breaking the chains of bondage is a real possibility, but only with this knowledge.

Bitcoin is one important piece of the puzzle but as Plato said, and I paraphrase, "Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber."

I agree with that but don't know if smart and dumb are the right words. I'd say virtuous and evil are more fitting.

the puppeteers are the most interesting part of the original allegory. they might be evil in their manipulation but dumb as they are stuck in this shitty cave too. they seem to be just employees :)

You’re quickly becoming one of my favorite thinkers in the Bitcoin space - mainly because you aren’t focused on Bitcoin itself but what Bitcoin means to the world beyond fixing the money.

I know you don’t HAVE to do podcasts, but know that your perspective is greatly appreciated you do.

Bitcoin is an important crumb on the path.

Bitcoin is a powerful tool.

Bitcoin is not salvation.

Acceptance that we all fall short and have all been deceived is the real revelation.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

I pray that Bitcoin leads more to Christ as the scales are removed from our eyes.

Yes. Salvation = Jesus.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.

This is a powerful and ltl poetic critique of the current state of social media, fiat systems, and the manipulation of perception. The allegory of the dark forest and Plato’s cave is especially relevant in today’s world, where narratives are carefully curated to maintain control.

Bitcoin, in this view, represents a way to break free from the shadows a means to reclaim sovereignty, truth, and financial autonomy. It challenges the structures that bind people in a system of fear and coercion. The key is not just adopting #Bitcoin, but truly understanding its philosophical implications: decentralization, self-sovereignty, and the power to operate outside imposed illusions.

The more people recognize the difference between projection and reality, the less effective the mechanisms of control become. The world may seem dark, but as you suggest, that darkness is often an illusion one that fades when individuals reclaim their ability to think and act independently. Vroumm 🐚 🍋🍉🍅🌶️🍍🥕🍆🫑

you need a physical, shit yourself a few times, adventure. You;re grimlocked.

Last one of them I did involved zip lining a small dog across a river, mate lost his trousers like a wind sock in the same river. Trad climbing some sketchy slabs and relaxing in the sun in a clearing in the woods. Way too long ago though.

You climb? We need more #climbing on nostr!

Indeed we do

Bitcoin is hope.

Oui Chef. Pluto’s Allegory of the Cave. I appreciate your perspective, honesty and philosophy. Your latest interview with Danny Knowles reminds me of this passage. Thanks for sharing. Keep prepping and cooking Chef.

Is Platon called Pluto in America? Interesting, ... , never stop learning 🧡

Shoot! Totally meant Plato, thanks for the correction.

Edit: Plato

When I think about Europe 300 years ago, I think you're exaggerating a bit 🧡

It’s frustrating to watch people that I care about go through the same thing over and over with X and Facebook. They never learn.

Thank God there is a way out of the fiat miasma. Humanity’s redemption arc is going to be one hell of a ride and I’m here for it. Keep lighting the way🗽
