Why do otherwise upscale hotels go to such lengths to look nice, but when it comes to small things in the room /suite, they cheap out big time. I mean.. you spent millions making it look awesome and then dropped the ball inside. Why? I will never understand.

No idea, but first thing that comes to mind: many small frills multiplied by many rooms is hell to maintain to standard, functional, whole, repair/replace.

I would pay 20% more for a foam mattress and sheets that don’t feel like wrestling in a pile of construction paper. Couldn’t care less about the lobby.
