What *killer* feature would you love to see on your favorite nostr client?
I'd love to see built in **GIF search and GIF embedding**.
Clients could have a GIF button near the post or attach image button, that once pressed opens a modal for searching Tenor via the Tenor API. Once a GIF is found, the URL to the GIF URL is entered into the post.
Is this a killer feature? Yes. Most people love GIF responses. No client has this feature *yet*. It would be a client first.
I really like emoji reactions like on telegram. It gives more insight on what people think of your notes.
I agree, but it might be better for clients to incorporate tenor's standard urls. Then we could do that without upsetting Tenor ^_^
I'd like to see a personal/shared notes section. I use Google Keep a great deal and would like to ween myself onto a Nostr version.
I plan to incorporate custom emoji reactions. Pick your favorite 3 to see on each post, and then a selector for any/all emoji.
Similar to Discord's but with custom ones for the ones you use the most.
Also would like to work with nostr.build to incorporate their image upload into my client.
I'm in the same boat. That's a great micro-app idea. Dedicated/paid relay that will have great uptime + will not lose data. And then send yourself notes with tags or some title field. it's all encrypted anyway.
Yeah, or even just keeping a list of event ids somewhere. Like the relays keep a list of follows, just keep a list of note event ids and it will just look for those specific events.

I second this request! Tenor and GIPHY both have APIs that someone can tap in to.
I want features for "the silent majority" i want to be able to sort notes by "most likes" and users by "most followed" "this week" "this month" "all time" and so on. I want to browse and learn and discover new things! I am not here to talk so much 👀
To not have to reload all my data again every time i login to the app. Web clients don’t seems to be a bother, but for some reason on my phone that would be great!
An easy way to “login” with my Nostr profile, so I can easily switch between devices and clients. Maybe it can be used to login to other services too. As described here https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/issues/154
