Alright, I’ve deleted X off of my phone. I’m taking 6 days off to see how it goes. After that I’ll take a longer break and I’d like to work up to just deleting it all together.

Yes! You can do it 🫡
At some point you’ll realize you’re not as upset as before
This is how I started. Desktop only, and now NOSTR only. Looking back and looking above, you realize how much the Twitter algorithm is a drug/creates unhealthy dependencies
I have friends there and I make money over there but my real friends will be my friends no matter where I am.
I don't go on X anymore because people usually don't talk back.
Is it different for people with a follower count the size of a small city?
My two cents:
I deleted all my social media accounts back in 2019, except for twitter.
However, this year I was able to finally get rid of it.
It was hard the first few days not getting that instant dopamine release twitter gives you, but oh let me tell you it is worth it.
The biggest thing is that you make peace with boredom. And secondly, you start noticing the better things about people when a little algorithm is not dictating your sense of reality.
Best of luck on your journey.
Wow, nice one lovely 💜
If you’re used to getting attention there, the withdrawal might be palpable
But you got this!!! 💪🏾
nostr:npub1yye4qu6qrgcsejghnl36wl5kvecsel0kxr0ass8ewtqc8gjykxkssdhmd0 is that an iPhone or an Android?
Like saying you're giving up heroin for 6 days to test how things go.
Just go cold turkey. After you vomit and get the shakes you’ll feel better.
Don’t look back. I’m with you
Also did it 2 month ago and didn’t regret it, especially the dumb push notifications. Also make sure to remove the browser bookmark :) Although the website doesn’t provide a good UX. But I still use it occasionally.
I am a moderator on a Reddit sub that helps people with addiction to a particular thing. Doesn't really matter what. What blows me away is the similarity.
Best wishes for your quit. You're doing a great thing.
You got this. #nostronly
