Meh on android.
From what I recall, it isn't entirely Open-Source yet.
I have used it.
The underlying tech it runs on is Pear Runtime, which is open source. Keet itself is not yet.
It has worked pretty well for me. I use it for a family chat room and for easily transferring files between my devices.
Media sharing with friends and family is probably where it struggles the hardest. It's not bad in a large room where there are plenty of folks online seeding the files, but when its a small room of 3 or 4 participants, then you are more likely to be trying to access content that no one is online to serve you, since there isn't a server in-between hosting the media for you.
Good app, but it's not open source. But its core is open source, it use Pear https://github.com/holepunchto/pear
Why they want to keep the source code secret is the big question
I've used it. It's nice for sending yourself files across devices
I use it all the time for chat/video. Works like a charm
I havent tried it yet. I generally use signal for people i know IRL and a combination of simplex / session for people i dont know IRL. That stack does everything i personally need it to.
I've taken a look at it. It's absolutely proprietary, though, as mentioned, Pear is kinda.
I'd rather use something that's fully Free Software.
