I’ve adopted the suggestions in Dr Casey Means book Good Energy. I’ve lost 51 pounds so far and feel great.
Carnivore (about 99% for 3 months)
Reason: Because, at 54, I don't want to grow old unhealthy.
Have cheated on meals a few times, with regret each time!
Plus, I still add a little coconut and dark chocolate to my coffee in the mornings. And, maybe a very small nibble of dark chocolate for a late night snack.
Overall, I feel amazing!
90% carnivore. The more carnivore I go, the better I feel. The only thing keeping me from going 100% is the logistics when I travel.
McDonald's quarter-pound patties are my go-to when traveling
carnivore
I started put wanting to eliminate seed oils and... they are really in everything so I found it easier to just go carnivore.
Carnivore for 7 months now. I had no issues to resolve except a little over weight. I love the simplicity of eating this way. Got blood work done and my doctor flipped out! Said it was the highest numbers he's ever seen, wanted to put me on statins, I said no I feel great. What do you think of the numbers Dr. Berry?

Carnivore, but lots of restaurant trips and events have interfered in the past two years after I met my girlfriend. Last month I was purely carnivore, no excuses, and there was a 4cm (1.5 inches) reduction in my waist size. Should announce the same curfew again I guess :))
You need to get your gf on it as well.
Carnivore
carnivore (pork + eggs + occasionaly beef, especially organs + rendered tallow)
it's only things we can afford and don't try to kill the body.
I eat a lot of beef, steak, chicken and dairy along with eggs.
Unfortunately I also eat lots of grains, but few vegetables. I very much like roasted potatoes and sweet potatoes.
I've printed a carnivore diet chart for inspiration and I try to do little steps. It's difficult to get grains out, especially with kids and school, lunch, etc.
Overall I find it challenging. It's also a different price tag, for the frequency and especially when you want quality.
Once you start eliminating them and see how you feel, it won’t feel so hard. I grew up on rice and beans and loved pasta — I didn’t think I could do it but since changing my way of eating I’ve realized how much better I feel without it
Carnivore, because I learned how a broken money system incentivizes the crap quality of food and I want to get away from things that fiat money ruins
Currently, it seems to me a form of Ketovore. Basically, meat (beef and chicken) and eggs, supplemented with nuts and nut milks to augment.
I focus on homemade food, made with fruit / animal fats. Minimally processed, low sugar, high protein, high fat, high fiber.
I make homemade cultured dairy, homemade bread as a treat or a side, and homemade fruit and vegetable juices. I also eat home cooked grass fed steaks. High quality authentic balsamic vinegar, and apple cider vinegar. I will eat nuts, seeds, grains, you name it. I do avoid seed oils in the majority of the food I buy, but I tolerate some.
I try to think of my body as not a single organism, but with consideration for being a living micro biome that is home to countless species that support each other's health and ultimately mine as well.
Eating cultured foods, and fresh raw fruits and veggies, I introduce new microbiological life into my system and the mix of foods feed all of them. There's science showing that the microbes signal to the brain what they need which is how we get cravings. I eat whatever I want, but more and more I'm listening not only to when to start eating, but when to stop so I don't eat too much.
Everything I eat these days is delicious, and in smaller portions. I feel good physically, and mentally I'm content and at peace. Life is good. ❤️
I highly recommend watching the Netflix documentary "Hack your health: The secret of your gut".
Protein: 280g
Carbs: 275g
Fats: 60g
Mostly chicken, steak, eggs, rice, oats, almond butter, fruit, veggies. Off plan meal that’s still based in whole foods a few times a week at the moment.
When I want a sandwich, I eat one. Dessert once a week.
No particular physique goal at the moment, but I’ll reduce off plan meals to 1 per week when I decide to get serious about things again.
Just whatever may come to my table. But i'm planning a return to animal-based a la Paul Saladino. Have no apparent reason to eat what i eat actually.
I eat mostly 89-90% carnivore (a bit animal based) - I started carnivore last year to help heal my depression, anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, thyroid issues and gut issues. It was the best thing I’ve done in a long time - healing is a journey and finding what works for you as an individual is important.
Carnivore
+ sugar (chocolate, ice cream)
Main motivation was weight loss, but sugar obviously doesn’t help
