My wardrobe is decluttered down to its bare essentials. I own only a few select pieces that serve me well and take up very little space.

Two t-shirts, two jackets, two pairs of pants, two pairs of shoes. All identical. All black, #minimalist with no branding, logos, or designs.

Why two of each? Well, having a backup in case something happens to the 'main' one is necessary. This is the minimum I can comfortably manage. Quality over quantity is really what matters to me. I'm happy with this approach. #minimalism

Why two? Because you have to wash one from time to time, at least I hope you wash your clothes.

I wash my clothes every second day (probably overkill), and dry them at night. By morning, they are already ready to wear.

A while back, I tried to go for only one of each, for about a month. It's manageable, but not ideal, having two of each makes everything easier.

Doesn't owning only two of each item actually increase the laundry frequency, negating the efficiency of your minimalist approach? Wouldn't having a few more identical pieces allow for less frequent washing, thereby reducing the overall workload?

It does, but the workload is minimal. I only need to click a few buttons on my washing machine every couple of days.
