The idea of not being able to edit your posts on Noster is fucking terrible.
Elitist assholes thought of it.
Just let people edit posts like they do on Fuck Zuck book. Let people see the edits.
People should be able to correct mistakes.

NOSTR.
SEE WHAT I MEAN, JERKS!
FUCK! LOL
Lol Think before you post or take the backlash
Does backlash make you feel better or like more of a man?
Just curious loler.
To guarantee that the post is edited, some central authority would have to force all participating relays to submit to the request for edit. Proof-reading is part of the cost of freedom in this situation.
Run your own relay and edit the notes it saves if you care that much.
But you canāt force all the relays to edit them too.
If you care about mistakes, proof read your posts before you send them out into the world for other relays to read and store.
My point is you should not have to edit an entire fucking relay to edit one post.
There must be a way to do this.
Why would there be? And that for a sex worker like you, mom?
When you send a post, it goes to a relay for storage and delivery. You donāt have to edit the relay, you have to get a relay to edit the data. If you own your relay, trivial.
If you rely on someone elseās relay, now itās negotiation time.
If youād rather use some centralized service and just ask mark zuckerberg to do it, then thatās fine too.
Once you mail a letter, you canāt edit it. Proof read before posting.
So delete requests on Amethyst require a coder to edit the entire relay?
There has to be someone smart enough to allow simple edits. Can a bot do it?
Some people have severe ADD and type or even think to fast to type.
That does not make them dumb or worthy of ridicule.
Blockchained, aināt it?
immutable and useful.
No one said anyone was dumb. I simply stated that if one cares about their mistakes, they should proof read before posting, as one would do with a letter in the mail.
Once itās posted, itās out of your hands.
It is a feature of a cryptographic functions that you can not alter the original input. If you change even a character, it would result a totally different digital fingerprint.
You need to accept this if you want decentralized things.
Bullshit.
There has to be a way.
