What do y'all use to keep track of your spending? I tried ynab4 and money manager ex in the last 2 years but I always feel like I'm missing control over something. If you use a spreadsheet and have a template, please feel free to share :)

I did use Moneyspire for a year and manually entered everything. It was interesting to see the breakdown, but didn't feel like it was worth the effort. As a single guy with no kids my finances aren't that complicated.

I don’t. Just buy what I absolutely need without a thought. And don’t buy anything I don’t absolutely need.

Now, the wife is a bit different. She just buys things we don’t need.

I suppose I could just a monthly self-audit of all my accounts and monitor the net outcome instead of tracking everything all the time 🤷‍♂️
