Cooking giraffe?
wanted to get something up on https://jumble.social/?r=aquaticchickentheory.nostr1.com
Omg, I zapped the wrong soup pic π€©
Thank you! π This might be the greatest stupid idea I've ever had! π€£
just greatest. nothing stupid about it
Well, it's stupid in that the whole thing hinges on me manually finding & hand-curating the notes & recipes, which is far from ideal. I tried to set it up so that if someone... 1. is willing to pay 300 sats, 2. knows how to write or republish to one relay, 3. wants to share their soup in a curated feed ...they can without needing me, but I think each criteria exponentially drops the number of people who would be wanting to do that. (I haven't done the mathπ )
I do think the underlying concept of a living, social food magazine via relay is solid, though, especially in clients with kind filters. If this garners attention, maybe it can be migrated to something more efficient eventually. Chicken soup just happens to be something that nearly every culture has some variation of in their cuisine, so that's a cool accident that I can thank the #βοΈ for inspiring. Maybe if this works to some degree, it can work for the sourdough bread people too. That would be a fun feed to browse.
I'm really glad you like this idea. Feel free to mention me, if you happen to see any soup notes around.
Pretty cool. I've put off doing anything other than Damus on phone, so will take this as yet another reason to look into jumble (the other was the grateful post thing lol).
I'd love it if you'd come compliment people with me. It's a little lonely over there π Jumble works great in mobile broswers and I think the Nostash signer makes signing in relatively safe & simple. (Though I'm on Android so that's hearsay)
You should be able to browse Aquatic Chicken Theory without signing in, and you can contribute any chicken soup note from any client. I just need to know about it, so I can republish it there.
Excellent. I'm a nostache maxi due to my loyalty to Tyiu when he helped me stumble through GitHub this one time (I'm basically a dev now).
Guess what's left is to figure out what the deal is with these special relays and whatnot. See you there soon.
We make some good soups occasionally, a hambone one comes to mind, so expect that before year's end
