This is why Canada is a lost cause. It's full of fools who take out massive amounts of money multiplie times and even shrug off the warnings from the banks. His daughter failed to protect her father and participated in this foolishness losing a total of 1.7 million dollars.

In his situation Bitcoin & Crypto was not involved. It was strictly fiat and told bars.

What do you think happened? Was it his old age that he is going senile? is his daughter going senile too? or maybe she was involved?

Most Canadians aren't able to handle Bitcoin yet as Bitcoin requires personal responsibility and critical thinking.

Personal responsibility is fundamental to financial freedom. Bitcoin's cryptographic proof protects against such vulnerabilities, removing the need for trust in intermediaries.

It's because the banks are in on it as well.

They can easily trace and rollback the funds however they can also say 'sorry we can't do it" and just pocket it instead.

What do you mean the banks are on it? The banks aren't going to bother with such tiny amounts of money. The banks cause fraud but not this way. Maybe there is a rouge ball workers but the bank itself is not involved.

I forgot to link the article, The bank tellers and bank branch manager questioned him and tried to stop him multiple times. The old man and his daughter are simply fools who aren't able to critically think. Many of these people exist in Canada because of the indoctrination from government schools

Small amounts add up and are easily written off. Couple thousand here and there and it bypasses any oversight.

It's not the banks as an institution but the people who work in the banks.

In other words when you tell them you're a victim of fraud they can clawback the money. But instead of giving it back they can say "sorry, we were unable to get the money back" and just pocket it instead.

And yes people can be fooled, that's why scams work so well

We will meme Canada into becoming Citadel Country. 🫡

We're trying to nudge Canadian culture with fictional stories and by leading by example.
