MY UNDERSTANDING OF EDITS IN AMETHYST IS THAT THEY ARE NEW EVENTS.

SO ON RELAYS AND CLIENTS (THAT SUPPORT EDIT EVENTS) YOU WILL SEE MULTIPLE EVENTS AND EACH CAN BE VERIFIED INDEPENDENTLY.

Correct. And they are not replaceable (relays don't delete previous versions). They are all available to be rendered in sequence if the Client wants to show the history of edits.

Yeah, because everybody else thinks edits "destroy Nostr". They are just new events like anything else.
