Idk, but I recently started a part-time job in a restaurant & they are nearly in despair over their economy

Only way I’ve made a difference: never bring it up first.

And then execute when opportunity presents.

Could for example wear a shirt to inspire if you want then just “I would love to tip you in Bitcoin” IF they introduce the subject

"checks notes", you can't. any sats given will be squandered, lessons unlearned.

like cats, they have to come to you, or it's just gonna be sad endings.

that sounds depressing

not as depressing as wasting sats 😂

seriously, how many times has this really worked for someone, its gotta be a 99% fail rate or something, and it just comes off as weird like youre trying to scam them..

I sent a guy I work with 10k sats on lighting , and he's used bitcoin previously to buy drugs. A year after I asked if he still had them, his response “oh yeah you want them back?” good luck on the person who's paid to listen and give you attention.

This. Never works. Also, everyone I've asked has flat-out refused to take the money, totally grossed-out and offended.

I mean, the very idea that we need to convince people to accept real money is proof that they don't appreciate that this is real money.

1 Bitcoin outta do it

I lost all my bitcoin in a boating accident... i don't even have 1 bitcoin

Start a Bitcoin meet up at that shop, give them customers

This is a good idea. There's at least two of the staff there who are from El Salvador so they've heard lots about bitcoin its just they don't know what it does yet.

Yes people need to see it in person

People also need to be able to earn and spend it consistently if they are going to take it seriously

tipping is a good start

Give them a lnurl QR code and offer to buy all their bitcoins at the value of transaction.

I did this for Sababa Restaurant in #chiangmai in 2019.

Now they keep all their bitcoins.

nice move!

I used to use tipcards.io, but I'm starting to print Cashu QR codes.

Good idea. There are elsalvadorians who work there so they know about orange coin but havent realized what it means yet

tip them , share some sats , sow the seed.

Tip them in #bitcoin , tell them to hodl and let bitcoin do the rest 🙃💜🤙
