Remember pre Google and even a few years after that you would go to a website and there would be a 'website ring" of recommended website in relation to similar content?
Wouldn't that be something worth doing similar on here with npubs? What is the best way implement that?

I think that would be a great idea: I’m just dipping my toe in and finding it hard to figure out how to find people with shared interests.
(Not least because some hashtags seem to be dual use: are we growing Nostr or growing food on Nostr?)
The grownostr comes from Jack Spirko. It was meant to be about growing content that is not about Bitcoin on nostr. The reason that is confusing, is everyone who follows him grows their own food to some degree, so we all end posting about that 😁 .
Glad you liked the idea try and share it round and hopefully someone with more sense than me can work it out. There might be a basic way to do it without a dev using notes, hashtags and you put the link to the note in the profile. However it probably has some flaws and would not be quite as good as the way you or I are probably thinking about it.
The first way would be to put “endorsements” in your profile. Simply stating recommendations on who to follow next.
The second way would be some kind of list. But it’s exposure would require clients or a specific client to create the list for that purpose and read others lists to convey the recommendation. Does listr already do this?
The third way would be a new kind. “Endorsements” or something similar like “recommendations” where npubs post their recommendation note to relays that clients can specify look for and aggregate into recommendations from who you follow. My two sats.
I think I might try a simple list on a note to begin with and go from there. Guess I will need to get a relay going so it doesn't disappear too. Thanks for your thoughts much appreciated 👍
