Filled the worm hotel with bedding...I think.

The fill consists of a pack of Frabill bedding and two 5 gallon buckets of partially composted horse poop. There is an apple in there for good measure as well.

Any verification this is adequate?

What's fabrill?

Interesting, doesn't say what it is.

It was recommended by #[6].

It seems to be compressed paper products with some sort of food.

I think I was supposed to soak it first. I did at some water though.

Yeah makes sense, what kind of worms are in there?

No worms yet. I wanted to make sure it was hospitable first.

I ain't runnin' no roach motel here.

You should be good. I run my worm bins on 99% shredded cardboard/paper. I throw in whatever cuttings from our plants we have and whatever vegetable kitchen scraps I can. Started my bin last summer, had more worms than I knew what to do with when the temps warmed back up for this spring.

Great. Now I just need to get some worms.

you might not want to put any food in there like apples until worms are in there.

From what I read it is to get the bacteria jump started...

I do tend to bury any veggie or fruit scraps, if only to try and mitigate the flies. Flies don’t really hurt anything, they’re just annoying and maggots fall through my drain screen into my worm juice bucket and make that bucket STANK. Not that work juice is very pleasing anyway lol

Looks great to me. I miss having a worm farm. The wife got traumatized from the tiny flies in the house - my fault though as I allowed for an imbalance of food, worms and moisture. I fixed it, but the trauma was real and the worm farm got put outside and neglected. I think this imbalance is bound to accidentally happen eventually, so something to keep in the back of the mind.

Thanks for the useful information.
