If you finally joined the ranks of node runners, please monitor your node and don’t allow it to be down almost daily. If it’s down almost daily, reevaluate your priorities and perhaps don’t run the node.

I'm using BTCPay sever so it has to be online 24/7

My node runs great and it’s never been down once in two years. And I barely check it.

Are you talking about a bitcoin node?

If so why would it matter if your node is down if you are not transacting?

Isn’t the benefit of a node really only felt when recieving transactions?

It's hard for Australians.

Our internet is garbage.

The previous government ruined our infrastructure.

Dug up all the copper wires, replaced them with new, uninsulated copper wires.

The intention being to waste our money, handing it all to Rio Tinto and Gina Rinehart and whoever else.

So we went from some of the best internet a decade ago, to one of the worst.

I can not afford to run a node yet.

I need to get starlink because Australian internet is unaffordable and unreliable

That’s good, at least you are conscious about the limitations and avoid causing issues for yourself and others

I just assume you will tell me if our channel goes down and then I’ll check if there is a problem with mine! 😂😂

depends on the type LN node - yes certain node need to run 24/7 consistently barring any power / hardware outages

True, I would 😂🤣😂

This node has been pretty stable but I should really set up some better monitoring of it.

What are you running, Umbrel or StartOS on Tor-only?

All that you’ve listed are the most unreliable peers, so none of these

So what are you running? Clearnet lightning-node on what?

My next Bitcoin goal is to buy and run my own node. ❤️🇮🇹🔥
