Lightning is in its infancy, layer 2 is the place to do it
It can't be, not without substantial tradeoffs. 🤷
Build better privacy layers on top is the only option that makes sense to me.

First of all, thank you nostr:npub1sn0wdenkukak0d9dfczzeacvhkrgz92ak56egt7vdgzn8pv2wfqqhrjdv9 for the amount of time and energy you put into making the world a better place, your proof of work shines through.
Second, what I took away from the presentation was we must be honest with our intentions (to replace the current financial system, not work with it or under it) and build toward those goals, without fear of oppression.
Bitcoin fixes much, but not everything. Make no mistake they will come for your bitcoin, they will try to centralize it, spy on it, track it, whatever they can do to control it.
We who are here today represent the true plebs. The amount of plebs was small compared to the citizens, but there were enough of them to make a difference.
As psychopathic hodlers of last resort we will defend Bitcoin, with our lives if need be, against the state and corrupt centralizing powers.
But we must be prepared and alert toward this cause because deception is rampant.

Doesn't need to be private, pseudonymous is plenty.
Gov can track it all they want. Tracking does nothing for them. What matters is they can't touch it without showing up to your door. Can't show up to every door during a currency collapse.

When we speak of lack of privacy we're implying that the ruling class and authoritarians have an asymmetric view into our wealth and we have none into theirs. Conversely, with Bitcoin everyone from every class can see where all the base layer wealth is hoarded or held. Its like every day will be the Panama Papers.
It's just something came up with myself. I'd like more thoughts on this from others.
