1 sat zaps are failing. Feels like we’re hitting the physical limits of the lightning network.

Bro I've been telling you 1 sat zaps are wasteful lmao

So why allow sats at all? Just get rid of it like we’re getting rid of pennies.

Who's they and what exactly are they allowing?!

I originally wanted to pressure test the lightning network. I guess I finally ran into its limits.

You aren't pressure testing the lightning network with a coinos wallet 🤣

Even with a custodial, it failed so why go further?

Yea just sell all your bitcoin lol buy monero

If monero fixes my problem I would buy some, but it doesn’t. Yet.

It depends on the endpoints and connected channels along a given route. I can 1 sat zap most people just fine from my node as long as I pay the fees to route it. Coinos probably limits your min send. Thats not a lightning network limitation.

Looks like I can zap you 1 sat just fine.

Im receiving zaps thru coinos so we r just trading ious ;)

Centralization has its value.

Custodial lightning wallets aren't really lightning transactions

So what are they?

IOUs

You are using a custodial wallet man what do you expect lmao

It was working fine until recently. It’s still a data point. Even if I wasn’t using a custodial, it wouldn’t prove anything more. I see I can still zap you 1 sat fine, so it depends on who I am zapping. Anyway. GN.

It works just fine.

Then we’ll ship your machine.

This is what I get when I tried zapping you:

Wallet reported an internal error. Message: Timed out after after 4 attempts. We got temporary_channel_failure for the invoice's route hint (804565x1277x3/1), assuming it can't carry 1000msat. We got temporary_channel_failure for the invoice's route hint (924169x252x3/1), assuming it can't carry 1000msat. We got temporary_channel_failure for the invoice's route hint (923915x2109x1/1), assuming it can't carry 1000msat. We got temporary_channel_failure for the invoice's route hint (919966x1174x1/1), assuming it can't carry 1000msat.

I tried twice, both failed.

I'm not sure what your Lightning setup is or why your wallet returning an internal error, but I'm able to send and receive without issue.

"We got temporary_channel_failure for the invoice's route hint, assuming it can't carry 1000msat. "

My route hint is pointing to OKX Lightning node which, according to 1ml.com, has 380 BTC of Lightning liquidity.

As for my own node, I have about $6,000 of inbound capacity.

So OKX and my node are the only two links in the chain and each link has more than enough capacity for a 1 sat transfer. So assuming you have a path to OKX, and pretty much everyone does, there shouldn't be a problem.

For what it's worth, I can see on my side that the invoices for your 1 sat payment were successfully generated. They were just never paid.

Hmm. Why do you have to assume I have a path to OKX?

Because I only have two channels open. Both of them are with OKX. Anyone who sends to me or receives from me will have a path that passea through OKX at some point.

I made 2 consecutive zaps. 1 sat zap failed to make it to you and the 2 sats zap looks like it went through.
