After three weeks of traveling and not sticking to my diet I would like to take a 3-5 days cleansing detox.

Read some things about a juice detox?

Never done a fasting for more than 16 hours before. Any advice / suggestions? πŸ™

Nah. Fuck that. Organic beef bone broth is way better for a detox.. + filtered water. 3-5 days. Easy peasy. Juice πŸ‘ŽπŸ»

Just don't eat πŸ˜…

Juicing is BS, that all just turns to sugar which is as toxic as it gets for the body.

Shifting into a straight 3-day fast would be ideal, but would be a challenge if you've been eating carbs, since you're not in ketosis

Do that if you're up for a challenge, otherwise pivot to carnivore diet so you can work your way to ketosis, the optimal human energy state!

3 day water-only fast does wonders

I think the idea of detox diets are widely debunked as nonsense and generally pretty unhealthy (usually involve all sugar no protein??), your body already has excellent detoxing mechanisms. Just get back your regular clean diet is the best thing.

Fasting is good though but water only, no calories, to induce autophagy to help with cellular clean up

I fasted for around 74 hours. Drink plenty of water and coffees in the morning def helps with keeping your energy up!

Coffee with no sugar and no cream is the way to go even without long fasts πŸ˜‰

So coffee is allowed πŸ₯Ή

100 percent! Green tea is usually ok too as long as you don’t add anything else 🍡 β˜•οΈ

I would look for a person who is comptetent enough to make you a plan and you trust him, i.e. how to properly enter fasting, how to act during fasting and how to return to a regular routine.

Another alternative, is stick with intermediate fasting everyday, where you finish eating at 6-7pm and start 9-10am next morning. Of course, start you day with water and hydrate enough during a day so you don't want to snack too often.

When I do a cleaning or fasting I do them regularly, few times a year and try to align with solstices and equinoxes. One of the practice I like is Shanka Prakshalana

Thanks for that, yes I normally skip breakfast anyway. Depends but looking for someone making me a plan would be ideal. Any ideas? Currently in 24 hours, feels good so far!

Happy to hear that. Unfortunately, I only have people that provide information in my local language - Lithuanian.

As you can see the carnivore tribe is well represented here. 😬

In juice fasting you drink plenty of water, couple cups of detox tea, only vegetable juices (tomato, beetroot etc.) which are not so sugary as normal juices. The amount is quite small, 1dl few time a day. And something to get electrolytes, to not get constipated...You know the normal stuff. πŸ€“

Thank you. πŸ™

I'll reiterate what everyone else here has said: skip the juice!

If a longer form of fasting (like 2-3 days) seems impossible at this stage, maybe you can be more consistent with your intermittent fasting, slowly stretching out the time of your fast? It shouldn't, hopefully, be too burdensome to push to 20 or even 22 hours from where you're already at.

If you could semi-consistently do something like 22 hours per day and keep that up for a few weeks (or longer!), you'll give your digestive tract and overall body a much-needed break BUT will feel like you're still living a more normal life.

What do you think?

Thanks for that, so that would mean just one meal a day, right? Sounds quite good to me. Currently 24 hours in and feeling surprisingly good! πŸ™

That's the ideal, yes!
